Attack Mitigator

At the most basic level an Attack Mitigator product, or any rate-based IPS, must identify hostile attackers and mitigate their undesirable network traffic while allowing legitimate user traffic to pass. NSS Labs Attack Mitigator testing focuses on the complex interaction between these fundamental capabilities.

 

NSS Labs has developed a specialized lab environment that is able to exercise every facet of an Attack Mitigator product. The test suite contains over 800 individual tests that evaluate Attack Mitigator products in three main areas: performance and reliability, security accuracy, and usability. This results in the most thorough and complete evaluation of Attack Mitigator products available anywhere today, under the most demanding conditions including extreme loads as well as real-world deployment scenarios using real network traffic.
