Marketing Manager

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, who can work collaboratively and effectively in a high energy, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

General Marketing
  • Establish and preserve corporate image/branding
  • Develop copy and creative for sales collateral
  • Oversee all corporate communications and messaging strategies
  • Manage the Marketing Department budget

Online Marketing (Website/SEO)
  • Maintain corporate website
  • Create additional landing pages for promotions, resources, events, etc.
  • Manage keyword ranking, competitor performance, traffic sources
  • Report on website performance bi-weekly
  • Identify areas of improvement for search ranking, traffic, lead conversion, etc.
  • Update and increase strategic inbound links and online directory listings

Lead Generation and Nurturing
  • Develop and oversee lead generation and nurturing program
  • Maintain CRM database effectiveness
  • Assist the sales team with identifying, developing, and servicing opportunities
  • Plan and execute ongoing lead generation activities (webinars, events, direct marketing, etc.)
  • Manage the creation and distribution of resources for lead generation (white papers, case studies, etc.)

E-mail Marketing
  • Create and run e-mail marketing campaigns to promote sales and keep subscribers informed
  • Maintain mailing lists and manage unsubscribes to maintain CAN-SPAM compliance

Public Relations
  • Track and identify opportunities for speaking engagements, article placement, and expert references
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases
  • Develop a social media plan and manage presence
  • Maintain performance reports for public relations and social media efforts

Product Marketing
  • Own messaging strategy and web/collateral delivery for products
  • Provide copy and create template for standardized proposals
  • Survey potential and existing customers regularly regarding product features, satisfaction level, etc.

Trade Show Management
  • Research and recommend industry trade show participation
  • Oversee staff registration, show logistics, and travel
  • Develop show strategy and messaging; determine collateral, signage, and other needs
  • Manage inventory, shipment, and storage of booth and materials

Other sales and marketing duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business or related field
  • 5+ years experience in B2B/technology marketing areas outlined above with specific strengths in online marketing and lead generation
  • Keen understanding of best practices in marketing communications
  • High level of competency in the Microsoft Office Suite and CRM, e-mail and survey systems. Experience with Salesforce and Constant Contact preferred
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML/CSS, Google Analytics and Google AdWords are a plus
  • Excellent project management and execution skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must
