In Q2 of 2008, NSS Labs performed comprehensive testing of the Juniper Networks IDP 250 against our Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS) testing methodology. This report summarizes the results from the tests performed on the DIP 250 installed in our real-world test lab. Running a total of 579 exploits (of which the vendor had no advance knowledge), covering a range of operating systems and applications, the IDP 250 detected and blocked a total of 525 (90.7%).
