In Q2 of 2008, NSS Labs performed comprehensive testing of the Juniper Networks IDP 800 against our Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS) testing methodology. This report summarizes the results from the tests performed on the IDP 800 installed in our real-world test lab. Running a total of 579 exploits (of which the vendor had no advance knowledge), covering a range of operating systems and applications, the IDP 800 detected and blocked a total of 525 (90.7%).
