The latest independent testing of cloud network firewalls from CyberRatings.org highlights the best third-party firewalls and reveals continued perplexing gaps in cloud firewalls from the major hyperscalers.
CyberRatings.org, the non-profit testing organization, this week released its latest Cloud Network Firewall (CNFW) evaluation, conducted by NSS Labs using its Cloud Network Firewall Test Methodology v4.1. Of nine products tested, only four earned a Recommended rating: Fortinet FortiGate, HPE Juniper Networking vSRX, Palo Alto Networks VM-Series, and Versa Networks Next Generation Firewall. Each scored 99.7% or higher in Security Effectiveness.
The real surprise came in security tools provided by major hyperscalers, which in many cases are not doing an adequate job holding up against real-world attack techniques. Read the full article here.
