Executive Summary

Global Energy Company (GEC) needed independent, unbiased guidance on whether it should upgrade to the next version of its Next Generation Intrusion Protection System (NGIPS) platform since its current one was at the end of its life, so it turned to NSS Labs. Within two weeks we had delivered a test report measuring the performance, stability, and reliability of the NGIPS platform. Had GEC not turned to us for guidance, it may have made a decision costing millions for a product that was of lower quality than the previous generation.
