In late 2012, NSS Labs performed an independent test of the NETGEAR ProSecure UTM9S v3.1.0-149. Although NETGEAR ProSecure UTM9S is currently marketed and sold as a unified threat management (UTM) system, this product was configured as a firewall and subjected to thorough testing at the NSS facility in Austin, Texas, based on the Network Firewall Test Methodology v4.0.

This test was conducted free of charge and NSS Labs did not receive any compensation in return for NETGEAR’s participation.
