Intrusion prevention systems (IPS) are designed to identify and block network attacks against internal computing assets, as well as protect enterprise users against threats and exploits. This brief presents results from NSS Labs’ 2019 Security Architecture Study. Enterprises can use the information to gain critical insights into IPS technology, including information on how these controls are being used within organizations, where they are being deployed, what form factors are in use, and who is responsible for managing the product.
