NSS Labs research has shown that a growing number of exploits against client-side applications, such as Java, Adobe Acrobat, Flash, and native browsers, are installing malware that goes undetected by traditional antivirus (AV) products. This poses a particular challenge for the financial services industry where ensuring that financial transactions such as wire transfers remain secure is a basic requirement of doing business.
Given the challenge of compromised client systems, there is a greater need for secure communication and transactions. Solutions include cordoning off a secure environment with the use of a secure browser, and isolation of the threats in secure containers in order to ensure transaction privacy and protection from online fraud.
