While the government and the private sector agree that collaboration on cybersecurity data sharing is essential to the protection of the nation’s critical infrastructure, finding a balance between these two perspectives has proved elusive. Although there is consensus that the fundamentals are functioning and that progress has been made, much remains to be done. This brief considers current initiatives and suggests ways to augment information sharing between government and private enterprise.
