At the close of 2012, NSS Labs performed a comprehensive analysis of vulnerability data to identify industry-wide threats and trends for the last 10 years. Despite massive security investments by the software industry, vulnerability disclosures rose considerably in 2012. Several additional observations make the security landscape of 2012 stand out significantly compared to previous years.
